I would come back here, the food was delicious.

The mexican corn which, I was dying to taste was horrible. It was so sour. Tasted like it was soaked in vinegar. I couldn't even eat it. Such a disappointment.

Awesome home cooked foods. Establishment is cash only. Got 3 chicken taco special. Sour cream, guacamole and cheese are extra. 3 flour soft tacos with light and dark meat chicken and peppers fried on the flat top. Lime on the side. Tasty. Flan was a good size serving, firm texture, nice taste. Everything is home made and it shows. The green and red sauces were tasty but a little too hot for me! Stick with mole if you're like me and can't handle the burn. Would recommend, will return.

Excellent experience, small but very comfortable place. The food was really good, with that home made feel, very taste and good portions. Also a BYOB, which is a good choice. I highly recommend this restaurant, true mexican food. I will definitely go back again. Thank you for the attention.

DELICIOUS tacos and elote! But be careful of the salsa they serve with the tacos- it's HOT 🔥!! Go lightly at first

Nice good service but the food lacked in taste..

I tried three tacos: the lengua, al pastor, and carne asada. They satisfied my hunger for food and stirred up a hunger for life that had been sleeping for over a decade. Truly a treat.

I always get the vegetarian tostados. Omg delicious! I could easily eat 2 orders. You get three in a plate. I get the ranchera sauce. I don’t eat meat so this is pretty much the only thing I eat. I’ll have to try another vegetarian dish some time. It’s cash only but they have an atm in the restaurant. The girl at the register is very nice too 🌺

I'm rating it as a Love it because I always do. For this visit I'm not sure if they had a new cook where I was not a fan of the Elote and the shrimp tacos which again I normally love. I will put this visit as things happen but I hope that when I go back I'm not disappointed again.

Their tamales are a perfect meal for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Food was good very authentic tasting only problem very small atmosphere but very accommodating guacamole was excellent!

Utterly delicious, very authentic Mexican. The Nachos Aztecas are my favorite thing on the menu, but honestly they do everything well. This is a family favorite. Bring cash, they are cash only but they do have an ATM in store.

A great little Mexican, BYOB. I've been a regular customer ever since they first opened. Over the past 10 years their shrimp tostadas and sopes have been on point. Really everything on the menu is great.

Food was hit, Tasty, and of course hit the hungry spot.

The atmosphere was beautiful but the food was not the best

The tacos are a 2-10, I tried asada and it was bad. The seasoning was bland. Tried chorizo and lengua and they were equally bad, the lengua was so tuff that it was not editable and the chorizo tasted like the spicy sausage from shoprite. I’m originally from Texas so I grew up eating authentic Mexican street tacos and maybe my review is a little tuff but they did not even come close to try it for a second time.

If you are looking for a traditional no frills taqueria venture into Northern Liberties/Olde Kensington to check out this place. The menu offers many a taste for the adventurous but we kept it fairly straightforward with an al pastor and a choriqueso.The tortillas are a bit standard issue however, the fillings are solid. Tasty flavorful, tender pork. Chorizo not too spicy and not dry and crumbly, maybe a little greasy but that is to be expected. Simple toppings, nice melty cheese, fresh cilanto and onion but nothing that stands our but just adds to a nice overall balance. A little more pineapple and a tortilla with some chew and more flavor and it would be 5 stars.

This place is amazing. Without a doubt, the best Mexican restaurant I have had in philly. This place is 10x better than el vez. Only issue is cash only and not much place to sit. BYOB though and worth taking out.

Probably the most authentic tacos I've had in Philly. They actually use nopales mixed into some of there tacos and I loved their beef tongue taco. Me and my girlfriend are 9 tacos and chips with dip and we're not disappointed. The chorizo tacos were most and not dried out, their beef tacos were tender and delicious with just the onion and cilantro with a squeeze of lemon. The prices were fair and the food was amazing so I would 100$ eat here again.

If you want a quick bite to eat, or hang out, this is the place,not expensive.

The food is so good & authentic! They even gave us complimentary drinks as well.

There taco was so delicious u just can't eat just one. And they r so fulfilling. Go see for your selves how good they r.

Really good tacos. I highly recommend the azteca tacos with steak and nopales. The steak was really tender and the nopales added a nice crunch and a verdant taste. I really like spicy hot sauce and the sauce they served did not disappoint but if you don't like hot sauce please use sparingly because it is firey! I elote was also delicious. The corn was super sweet (quite a feat since corn isn't in season) and paired nicely with the salty cheese ,fatty mayo and spice blend. This place needs to become a regular place for me.

Gave it 3 stars because it wasn't the best I've had but it wasn't nasty and because they gave me scrambled eggs instead of sunny side up like I asked

Best tacos around. Real, authentic Mexican food in a cozy environment.

Waitress was rude. I asked for pozole and they only gave me, tortillas, lemons and cilantro. I asked for lettuce and tostadas and waitress was upset that I had asked for them. This is not authentic Mexican food. It's more Mexican American. Only food kind of good was the tacos.

Best authentic Mexican food you can get for the price

A dollar or two more than I would have liked to pay per taco, but they certainly didn't skimp on the filings. Every ingredient tasted fresh and the wait wasn't very long at all. PS. I tried the Tinga and the Salmon tacos

I was taking a walk while on my break from work and came upon this restaurant at 5th and Thompson. I went back to work and decided to order lunch from there...glad I did!! The food was delicious! I had the Tres de Chuletas and Nachos Especial! I shared with my coworkers and they ordered next day. Awesome food and reasonable prices!! Every8is fresh and homemade!! Definitely going back there again! They also have breakfast!! Check them out everyone!! I wish I had taken photos of my lunch!! 5 STARS !!

If you are looking for a home cook meal this is the place. The food was absolutely comforting, hot and very tasty. It was my 1st visit but what was I thinking. My family was COMPLETELY satisfied. Let's just say our plates were COMPLETELY cleaned. LOL.
